Promoted to Music Editor for Forward Magazine 2012-2013
At the start of my second year of A-Levels, I pitched the idea of expanding the music section of the student magazine and consequently assumed the position of Music Editor. For the S/S'13 edition; I reviewed four albums, interviewed the college band Just Carnage about their upcoming EP, attended a music showcase at the college and reviewed the performances, interviewed the LAB Records band, Anavae and wrote an accompanying 'Introducing...' type article and attended, photographed and reviewed a Twin Atlantic gig. The Marketing team who oversee Forward Magazine additionally asked me to write the Editor's Letter.(see Forward Magazine here)

Features Writer for student publication, Forward Magazine 2011-2012
During my first year of A-Levels, I worked as a features writer for the bi-annual student magazine. I took part in development meetings which involved helping redesign the format of the paper and pitching potential themes for each issue in addition to ideas for my own features. I also was assigned the task of proof-reading. In the first issue I wrote a fashion feature Stealing Students' Style which analysed and explored the concept of preppy fashion. In the second edition I wrote the article Operation Staycation and conducted an online interview for the travel feature London Calling, which saw the Capital from a foreign student's perspective.

I work directly with the public, dealing with customer requests and providing a friendly and helpful service to shoppers. During the time that I have worked in retail, I have also learned about the importance of visual merchandising and brand representation.

One week interning at a Sixth Form College Marketing Department. Involved writing press releases, liaising with the public and completing various admin tasks.

Comic Relief 2008-2011
I was selected to be a part of a Youth Representative Group that worked alongside the Comic Relief School's Team to develop marketing strategies. Involved presenting merchandise ideas and advertising concepts to their Marketing Team at Head Office, and pitching potential programme ideas. One idea suggested materialised in the 2011 programme, Rich, Famous and in the Slums.
